BECK ON BEANS: SF Bay Coffee (San Francisco Bay Coffee) Fog Chaser Blend

If you are going to San Francisco, you're gonna meet some tasty coffee there.

Y'all. This Atlanta native has gone full Cali. San Francisco Bay Coffee's Fog Chaser is now the coffee I stock in my cabinet for regular consumption. And good luck to any other that tries to oust it!

Not only are the flavors and aroma of this expert brew incredible, but the pods are fully commercially compostable and made to reduce waste.

This statement an be found on the company's website, sfbaycoffee.com:

"When you’re finished with these pods, these pods aren’t finished. Single-serve coffee pods are convenient. However, most are made of plastic that adds to the growing problem of plastic waste buried in our earth and floating in our oceans. As a producer of single-serve pods, we feel an obligation to invest our time, money and resources into finding a better way. So, we created our OneCUP pods made entirely from plant-based commercially compostable materials. "

Nothing at all wrong with that, my tree-hugging friends!

So, full disclosure here on the review. I'm not sure why I was going for a Rocky Balboa kinda schtick on the day I wrote this. Chaser.... runner... fitness... sports montage... Rocky? I guess? Just bear the hell with me, please. It got better the more Fog Chaser I consumed! 😜

Fragrance: Cocoa, salted caramel, and orange/bergamot. Like the greatest campfire ever. Not at all like the sweat of someone running the stairs of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Flavor: Very savory. Chicory? Pleasant bitterness and acidity. Notes of smoked citrus. Cocoa coats the tongue after swallowing. It's like dinner followed by dessert. The citrus gives way to the cocoa and instructs you to "open ya prize."

Recommended for:
  1. Montage: This one will slap your ass into gear with its assertive flavors and caffeine backhand.
  2. Creed: Yup. I just referenced Apollo Creed to tell you to drink this coffee black. That’s how far I’m willing to go for a metaphor. Tip your bloggers.

Not recommended for:
  1. Drago: This blend isn’t all talk. If you’re looking for a peaceful little spar with Mickey, this isn’t the blend for you. It is strong and robust and it must break you.
  2. Mr. T: Don’t drink this in the afternoon. It’ll blast you through the wall for the rest of the day. Have some... T... instead. Ehhhh??? EHHHH???!! Tip your bloggers. (I pity the fool who don't appreciate my humor.)

Would I buy it again?
Would, have, did, gonna keep. Definitely knocks out the fog. Energizing citrus, smoky cocoa, and a nice hit of caffeine makes this a new favorite morning blend. Hats off to SF Bay for an awesome brew and a company with conscience. I usually only give out 5, but you're gonna get all the stars Rocky saw after his bout with southpaw Tommy Gunn.

Wow. I took San Francisco Coffee Company review and tied it to an extended metaphor centering a Philadelphia Italian Stallion. That's damned talent, y'all. Take a number, marketing companies. I can't work for all of you at once. πŸ˜‚

I keep my cabinet stocked with SF Coffee Company's Fog Chaser and Decaf French Roast, so I put my money where my coffee-grubbing mouth is! I 100% recommend this blend and this company to anyone who wants a great, complex, energizing cup of joe with a conscience.

Peace, love, and java, my friends!
